Judging by the description and other reviews, I thought I could wear them from early spring to deep autumn. A little over an hour drive on a windy 40 degree day changed my mind about it. There's not really a lining, at least not for warmth, and the leather isn't as thick as I thought it would be. All this to say that I still like these gloves. The fit is a bit tight which I didn't want them to break in my hands. Rubbing in Skidmore's coating also helps. I also like the length. I already have a pair of short gauntlets and wanted something that could be tucked over or under the cuffs of my jacket; but I wanted nothing more than a full glove. You are perfect for this role. Yes, I still need a pair of cold weather gloves, but for Chicago's late spring and early fall, I'm glad I have them.
