New favorite mid temperature gloves

I stumbled upon the High 40s the other day and they were fine. That's great, I have Joe Rocket winter gloves up to 50 years old, but these are up to 80? Not sure what upper range is, but my previous mid-range gloves were less comfortable than these and not as warm. Also, I'm quite tall and the plus size in them was pretty tight at first but now it fits almost perfectly. I wouldn't be against a cuffed set to keep the wind out of your sleeves, but there are other ways to achieve this.

Big. Feels good.

Ordered XL but changed my mind as they are oversized and fit perfectly. Really supple skin. They aren't waterproof, but they can be made so. I used Nikwax Leather Proofing Treatment which is great for waterproofing but makes them dirt magnets. Oh well ;-) I have a problem with numb hands after a long ride, especially with frequent use of the clutch and the need to have gel pads. The padding in them isn't very thick, but it helps a lot! I just wish there was a little more padding in the base of…

Overall, the gloves are fair to good.

Comfort and fit come first. The pre-curved toes (and length) are perfect for my ankles. A thin layer of gel on the palm adds a little more comfort at range while maintaining decent throttle sensitivity. The flexible wrist works as advertised; i.e. no straps to fiddle with while still maintaining a snug (non-binding) seal around the wrist. just take them off I'm a little disappointed with the insulating properties. If you live on the Oregon coast, morning temperatures typically range from 46-54…

Winter Enough Gloves

I received these gloves yesterday and my first impression was that they are VERY well made. I drove to work this morning and it was 38 degrees outside with a 2 mph southeast wind. My 11.5 mile commute to work takes about 20 minutes and it's half city, half country. The gloves held up well for the first few miles but eventually succumbed to the cold wind. When I got to work my hands were very cold, so I didn't ride with these gloves in temperatures below 40 degrees. They are very comfortable and

Classic Gloves Review

I have 2 pairs of weighted summer gloves but needed something warmer for the winter months. These gloves seemed like a good combination of protection, warmth, and style. The gloves fit just right. I wear large gloves from most brands and the large Joe Rocket size gloves fit perfectly. The pre-curved design works well and I have no issues with brake, throttle or clutch controls. They're pretty warm, but I don't live in a very cold area. In sub-zero temperatures, that probably won't be enough…

Only three season gloves

Judging by the description and other reviews, I thought I could wear them from early spring to deep autumn. A little over an hour drive on a windy 40 degree day changed my mind about it. There's not really a lining, at least not for warmth, and the leather isn't as thick as I thought it would be. All this to say that I still like these gloves. The fit is a bit tight which I didn't want them to break in my hands. Rubbing in Skidmore's coating also helps. I also like the length. I already have a…

Great fit and style.

I wasn't sure what to expect from these gloves as there weren't any previous reviews. I tried on Joe Rocket gloves at local bike shops but couldn't find a style I liked and was looking for something to wear when the weather was too cool for my lightweight, ventilated, warm-weather cycling gloves and wasn't too bulky. with a thick inner lining, as I will not ride long distances in temperatures below 40 degrees. They are full grain leather with a lining thin enough not to interfere with dexterity
