I bought this walker/walker for my 10 month old baby when he was learning to walk. She liked to push him and soon started walking without him. The rubber wheels swivel so that the rollator can be pushed or rotated in any direction. I always sat in the middle of the room, clinging to the back of the seat to help guide her as she kept circling me. We used it on wall to wall carpeting and the carpet provided just enough resistance to keep it from rolling too fast for it. I have a mat in the hallway and have followed it closely after reading other wheel catching reviews but have never had a problem. The ride was very stable, like a walker, and it never tipped over. I love that this toy can still be used as a rolling toy when it grows up. I also liked that it's not just another pink and purple pile of plastic junk to get rid of when she's not a 'baby' anymore.
