I bought it on July 4th for my 2 month old. She generally dislikes loud noises and will flinch and cry. She first wore them at the Fourth of July parade, when horns blew, bands played, music blared and sirens blared. She slept through all the noise. The real test came later when she overslept our local fireworks. We sat about 200 meters from where they were shot and she never flinched or woke up. There is some sort of rubber or something inside the strap that keeps it from slipping and sliding, which was nice too. so impressed with them and very glad i bought them. You have 1 disadvantage. They are quite difficult to position so that they are comfortable the first time. It's a bit complicated, and the "instructions" are just a couple of pictures with no caption, so it's hard to understand. I figured it out after about 5 minutes and then they worked great.
