My sister has been skating and taking lessons for 6 months. She has a purple version of this book in size 9. I bought the 10th size in light green color. I've only ridden them once but I found them comfortable and didn't cause any problems. Before skating, I took them to the nearest store for inspection. They told me the skates were ready. Although the skates come pre-sharpened, my sister took her skates to a pro shop where she skates and they had them touched up a bit.
