Review on πŸ’§ BPA-Free Nalgene On The Fly Water Bottle by Andy Mitts

Opens when dropped.

I love Nalgene bottles. I was excited to try this because of the easy open/close mechanism. However, as someone who carries around a bottle of Nalgen, I can't count the number of times I've accidentally knocked that bottle over and it burst open and spilled water. Sofas, tables, electronics, it even opened up in my pocket once. For me this is simply unacceptable and I will not buy this bottle again. Other than that, I love this design concept, I just think the design needs improvement to make it not so easy to open. Run more tests. Fill it with water and dump it on the table. It shouldn't open unless it's fallen more than a few feet. The closure should be that tight, even without a bolt. I know there is a clasp and I make sure to clasp the clasp before putting it in my bag, but I don't always clasp the clasp after each use. the time when I take a sip of water. Then life happens and it turns and spills everywhere; and there were times when the latch worked just by moving it around in my pocket. I like this bottle size, I like the ease of opening, but since I'm frustrated with how many times it's opened I really can't trust it. . Once it almost leaked onto my MacBook. Pooh! I'd rather put it off before it really gets me in trouble or until the day the design improves. For now I'm going back to twisty lids because they're not reliable enough to be my go-to place.
