I'm 5'10", slender, 155lb, and I ordered a size M in 5/4mm thick. I found when I put it on, it was difficult to move or sit down because it was too short for me through the torso; however the legs were tight for me but the arms were loose (I am female). I wanted it for colder weather paddling, so I sent it back. I think if I go up to a L, it will fit lengthwise but then be too loose other places, so I will probably try to get a two piece instead. However, if this will work for you proportionally, it is a very nice wetsuit for the price.
