WARNING! People use it insecurely!

The Chinese instructions are confusing and the buttons are reversed. So people seem to be leaving it on ozone mode in bathrooms and bedrooms near their beds, which you shouldn't be doing! Breathing ozone in an enclosed space is dangerous, you should not be in the room while the ozone is on. This device does not produce much ozone, but ozone does not circulate, it is heavier than air and tends to sink. So if someone puts this next to a pet bed or similar, 100% ozone will float over that area like a cloud and could damage the lungs. And I certainly don't want anyone sleeping next to him. Ozone should only be used when leaving the room and should be turned off and aired before re-entering. The default is Ozone, which is at the bottom. I took it apart, it turned out that the switch was installed upside down. The first default should be the ion (leaf), which is at the top. BUT that is not the reason for my 1 star. The reason for my bad rating is that the ionizer is so small that it is too weak for meaningful cleaning. Negative ions (not ozone) are best for cleaning the air, neutralizing dust in the air, helping with allergies, pollen, pet dander, etc. Look at my photo, an ionizer the size of a pencil tip by far not the stated performance. The smell of ions should fill the room - I can't even smell this device from 10 inches away. If you need an ozone purifier (for odor control), you can purchase one for $30-$50. Get at least 10,000 mg. /h In terms of ions, this is so small that it wouldn't fit in a small room or even a car - *maybe* enough for a closet or cloakroom. If you need an ionizer, get something like Edenpure.
