A few months ago I took the liberty of reviewing the many makes and models of men's clippers that are now available. It turns out that most clippers seem to be made by just a few factories, with different nameplates, different boxes, and variations in what's included. The overall quality of these clippers is surprisingly good these days. You get a waterproof hair clipper with a (fancy) ceramic cutting head and an unusually good (heavy plastic) set of eight length guides. Brief description of the parts in this set: ** Metal clipper + plastic body (top is like metal; bottom is light and looks like plastic), adjustable distance between heads, LCD display for charging/information, charging via dedicated USB Cord (included)** The clipper is powered by a 1500mAh lithium-ion battery (average value for this type of clipper)** 8 plastic longitudinal bars, NO color coding - unusually heavy plastic, more durable** Clippers* *Plastic comb* *Cheap plastic bib to keep hair out of clothes **Cheap plastic carrying case **Instructions I would rate this kit as above average due to the ceramic trimming head, waterproof clipper and better length guides (better than the that I've seen in most kits). On the other hand, the clipper is fairly light, which is probably due to the plastic construction of the body. It's not a big deal, but I prefer a little more weight in my hand. Revain advertised a small, cheap cleaning brush, but my kit didn't have one. Overall, given the relatively low price of this set (at the time of writing), this haircut kit is an attractive option.
