Pros: Super bright Cons: Battery life and mount

I am a Lumen bike enthusiast with thousands of kilometers of night riding experience and dozens of lights including from: Lupine, Light and Movement, Katya, Serfas, Tsigolit, Dinotte, Lezin, Axiom, Planet Bike etc. This light could do a lot be better, but unfortunately it is not. I bought two of these lights primarily for use on kids bikes and my experience with BOTH lights is the same. We often cycle to and from sports in the evening and often come home in the dark. Pros: 1) This light is bright, insanely bright, bright daylight. Neutral (or maybe for or against, depending on your needs): 1) It has few light patterns and I find them very well thought out. However, the patterns are really too bright for night riding when you have another cyclist right behind you, so this is definitely NOT a night light for group riding. However, cars can see the light when driving alone. They need slightly darker night or group driving patterns. I'm not a fan of their low light option. Cons: 1) The battery life of the two lights I received is not even remotely accurate. After fully charging the lights I get about an hour of battery life, which is nowhere near the 6 hours advertised for the bright flash option. Both of my kids had their headlights out and luckily I have backup lights on their bikes because the headlights went out in the dark. The light that goes out on you due to a much shorter than expected battery life goes unused. I would never use the light on my longer evening drives of 2-3 hours. 2) Mount - garbage. When the screw is tightened to the maximum, you can still adjust the angle of the light. When driving over large bumps, the light is directed from the direction of the cars onto the rear wheel. Light is also heavier, so rethinking the mount is all the more important. The mount is really only designed for mounting on a round seatpost, and even then it can pivot from side to side. The bracket also doesn't have enough angles - it needs to provide more rise and fall depending on the installation location or the angle of the pipe. The mount does not work well on a seatpost and does not work well on an aero seatpost (strap not long enough). I think Serfas has the best mounting system in its class - they work on aero stays, round stays, seatstays, big wide TT aero stays, can be mounted horizontally or vertically, etc. Also, the angle options on Serfas are fantastic, and it no wonder their mount is patent pending. Unknown: I have not used the flashlights in the rain, so rain consumption and lifetime are unknown. Conclusion: Unfortunately I would have missed it for the time being.
