I’ve used this dryer for about a week, and have seen a slight improvement in my quality, so it’s definitely doing its job. It heats up well, and the display of the current humidity is nice to have. For reference, I have the printer in my Basement, which has an automatic dehumidifier running to keep it around <40% humidity.Unfortunately, the humidity gets trapped in the case. I had to open the lid several times over the course of a few hours to vent the humidity. Letting it run for 8 hours closed failed to turn my indicating desiccant from pink (humid) to blue (dry). Note that this was with 1 full spool and 1 nearly empty spool, with 2 small bags of desiccant. After 8 hours, the bag on the mostly-empty spool side had started to turn blue, but quickly reverted after an hour of being off. The lowest this read was about 30% humidity (because it was getting trapped). My next run, I used a pair of pliers sitting between the lid and base to prop open the lid about 1-2cm at the front. After around 5 hours, both packs were dark blue (completely dry) and the device was showing a reading of 14% humidity.Basically, prop the lid open while drying to vent the humidity, close the lid for storage.
