I chose this one because I liked the chef's knife and the price was reasonable. When I received it I was surprised how it felt in my hand. It is well balanced and the handle has some weight. It feels like a well-made tool should be durable and comfortable. I heard the steel they use can be brittle so I was careful with that. My second favorite thing is the knife guard since I don't have a pad and have to keep it in my desk drawer so I don't have to worry about breaking it. It's not top notch, but if you take care of it, it's better than you think.
