When I first tried it on I thought it was to small because it didn't close over my chest. But then when I relooked at all the pictures I noticed it didn't close on the models either. So I guess that is how it is supposed to be worn . If you prefer to have it closed you may want to order a larger size. I'm a 14/16. I ordered a large. Like I said it doesn't close all the way
