Review on CRAZEDpilot In-Ear Headset by Stephanie Banks

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great idea, honest implementation. The noise cancellation is fair.

This headset is a clean replica of the Clarity Aloft or Halo headphones I've used in the past. Designed to offer the same comfort at an amazing price, this headset almost succeeds. The headband is comfortable, the mic sounds great (though without adjusting the mic gain). There are two main problems with in-ear headphones. First, the cable connecting the headphones to the headset is terribly thin and exposed. The second issue that was immediately apparent was that the earbuds chosen were too big and didn't fit deep enough in the ear, even when using different earcups. The result is so-so noise isolation - I wasn't able to get a good seal as the earbuds couldn't go deep enough into my ears. The headphones have a fairly large plastic case, which is just annoying. You'd be better off with a tiny driver like the Clearance Aloft, which offers excellent noise cancellation with a tiny headphone driver, but it's small so it penetrates deeper into the ear canal. If the manufacturer could use smaller headphone drivers and use a more heavily protected headphone cable, that would be a win.
