TLDR: The device that was shipped to me via Revain Fulfillment was missing a DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable (meaning I can't run at 120Hz yet) and a rear I/O shield. (aspect ratio 21:9), 2) 110 dpi, 3) IPS panel and 4) high refresh rate. The "moon white" case and the bright but subtle RGB lighting on the back add class to a "gaming" monitor. The sheer size of the monitor had my desktop drooling over all the available real estate. Colors were vibrant and viewing angles were amazing. However, I kept my hopes in check by reading previous reviews. The most common complaints were about "flare" (which happens when an IPS panel's backlight "bleeds out" from the edge of the screen when the screen is dark). At first, my opinion here was moderate, simply because some glare is inherent in most IPS panels anyway. But excessive light bleeding is not. Luckily that wasn't a problem for me. The second most common complaint was for "dead" pixels (meaning they don't light up in ANY color) or "stuck" (meaning they can only display a specific set of colors). ). The good news is that Dell (maker of Alienware) has added a pixel check mode to this monitor. If you press and hold the third button on the back for 3 seconds without any signal input, the monitor switches between pure white, pure red, pure green, pure blue and pure black. This allows users to verify the presence of such pixels. I'm happy to report that I didn't have it. The last part of my setup was where I lost some wind in my sails. This monitor is marketed as a 120Hz G-Sync "gaming" monitor. To use both G-Sync and higher refresh rates, you must use a DisplayPort 1.2 cable. My device (purchased as "Used - like new - item will be shipped in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged" from Revain Fulfillment) came with all cables EXCEPT DisplayPort to DisplayPort (which was listed in the product inventory). means I have to wait for another shipment of another item (which I don't need to buy) due to Revain responding to COVID-19 in terms of support (which I understand). Finally, and probably most perfunctory, the rear I/O shield was also missing to hide the connectors. As many might think, it doesn't REALLY matter because how often does a person actually see the back of their monitor? This is important to me because I have a floating table (a table that faces the room, not the wall). This means I can see the back of my monitor all the time. Those minor issues aside, I'd recommend anyone looking at this monitor to buy one if they can find a deal. This was by far the highest quality monitor I have ever purchased and I have no regrets.
