Turn on that pump before you put it in the bottle!
Grasp the part of the stem where the straw reaches the pump and hold while twisting the tip to release the pumping action. THEN you can fill the reservoir and place the pump back into the reservoir. The straw is quite stiff, so it takes a little effort to screw the cap on properly. And they're not thick enough to carry travel purchases. Good for your shower/bath and pretty much alone. However, for what I wanted, this does the job.
