I use it for a small petrol engine, I had to make a bracket to hold it in place, if I looked closely, the tab is on the sloping side of the tank obliquely to the tank. The tank isn't straight at the top and bottom, that made it a little tricky on my part, yes, and the tank cap doesn't vent properly, it's just a pinhole more or less at the top of the cap! This allows the light hydrocarbons in the fuel to vaporize faster, causing the fuel to deteriorate even faster than it already does. If I ever need a different tank it will be something else that suits my needs better. The plastic it's made of feels thick and well-formed, though, so no problem, it just needs a better lid and the tab needs to be 90 degrees on the angled side.
