I live in the base building so it's like an apartment. I tried 3 other N routers before buying this one - they all told me Linksys was the way to go, but I found them overpriced and overpriced. Well you get what you pay for. I can connect anywhere in my house, on my porch, even halfway to my voice mail (on my iPod touch). All other routers I tried couldn't get a full signal even at 2 meters from the router! With this Linksys router I have about 2/3 signal upstairs and full signal everywhere downstairs including the back porch. While it's not strictly a gaming router, my husband has no problem playing Borderlands online and we watch Netflix wirelessly. I streamed HD video to my laptop with no problem; I have to wait a few minutes but that's nothing compared to what could have been. Update June 2012: We have since moved and now live in a larger house. The router is on one end and on the other we still have good signal strength! I've kept it relatively dust-free, so I expect it to continue to perform as well as ever :)
