Review on Enhance Your Running Experience with New Balance Women's Zante Running Shoes by Jason Ortiz

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Very poor quality and last NB shoe I will ever buy

This is the last NB shoe I will buy. The good news is that after consulting with shoe owners here at Revain I went up a half size to 11D. The fit was great, the mesh was very forgiving of my bursitis and hammer toe, and the shoe was comfortable right out of the box. HOWEVER, just like my previous models ($140 1080V7 photo attached, bought Sep 17) and two pairs for $60,510 (or similar) the quality is terrible. I spent 2-3 times more on my last two pairs of NB shoes thinking I'll get wear time for the money. Terribly disappointing. I walk in it and I would say I average 15 miles a week max. Even less on this pair of Zante v4's I just received on March 22nd. I was shocked when I looked at the bottoms last week. I can promise you they don't even have 125 miles. The 1080 v7s didn't last 6 months before wearing out the underbody you see in the photos. As frustrating as it was trying to find a new wide hiking shoe for my problem feet at this point in my life, I'm done with New Balance. At the moment, even the "higher" models are of poor quality. (Ref. photos: The huge hole is a 1080 Zante, less than three months old, with external signs of wear.)
