If you need wide shoes, note that they are not wide.

My life got a lot easier when I finally realized that I need wide shoes for training. I don't usually wear wide shoes, but I have a couple of old foot injuries that made my 44th minute on the elliptical in standard-width shoes pretty miserable. In wide shoes - no problem. New Balance has been my favorite wide shoe for training and I've never had a problem with it. I ordered 10W and what came had 10W on the box but the tag on the tongue didn't say the shoe was wide and when I put it on it didn't

Cons
  • Some problems

When I've bought New Balance shoes, a size 8 1/2 has always fitted me perfectly. I bought Zante Fresh Foam in a size 8 1/2 and they were too small and didn't seem well made. I bought another pair of New Balance hiking shoes in a size 8 1/2 and they were too small. Last time I bought another shoe, this time a size 9, and it was too big for me. What's up with New Balance? Nothing else seems to fit. Maybe because I heard most of their shoes are no longer made in the US. A colleague suggested Asics

Very poor quality and last NB shoe I will ever buy

This is the last NB shoe I will buy. The good news is that after consulting with shoe owners here at Revain I went up a half size to 11D. The fit was great, the mesh was very forgiving of my bursitis and hammer toe, and the shoe was comfortable right out of the box. HOWEVER, just like my previous models ($140 1080V7 photo attached, bought Sep 17) and two pairs for $60,510 (or similar) the quality is terrible. I spent 2-3 times more on my last two pairs of NB shoes thinking I'll get wear time…

Light, springy sneakers

I bought them as a deal of the day. I've only run 30-50 miles a week outdoors for the past year in the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 33 (and now 34) in a size 8.5B, but these New Balances were a great deal and I thought I'd give them one Attempt. as it makes sense to try on different sneakers from time to time. So far I've only used them on an indoor treadmill (those are my "home shoes" at the moment), so comparing them to running outdoors isn't entirely accurate. fair, but they work fine for me. The…
