I have a metal frame paddling pool. I was delayed in treatment and suddenly the algae appeared and I couldn't control them. I decided to do this experiment. I took a wooden paddle and created a hot tub. That's about 4500 liters. I added 4x the amount of shock they were supposed to add each week. I cut off the top part of the filter and attached it to the drain pipe with a hose. I attached it to the pool ladder and covered the pool with sunscreen. I went for 3 days and came back to really clean water. I couldn't believe it. It looks like the water level in the bag has been getting higher and higher due to all the filtration. I bought a few more and plan to use them with a cheap venturi style vacuum that I have. 3 days have passed and we are back in business!
