I won't lie, I've refrained from buying a specialty car glass cleaner for a while. I thought it was funny. Why couldn't I just use the same glass cleaner I use at home? After getting more serious about auto detailing, I came to my answer - household glass cleaner left streaks on all my car's windows. Automobile. I have noticed, especially on the inside of my windshield, that the Windex becomes very streaky when I wipe it. I use 303 Protectant to treat my leather dashboard to prevent sun damage, but when the sun hits it the protectant tends to evaporate and stick to the windshield. This is where Windex doesn't help, and some time after figuring it out, I started making homemade glass cleaner with water, isopropyl alcohol, and vinegar. It worked well, but eventually I realized it was a bit of a hassle and that Meguiar glass cleaner was very cheap (and didn't smell like vinegar!). Pros: + Cheap + Lasts for years + Odorless Cons: - You don't actually have any. Do yourself a favor and buy this to clean your car glass if you don't already have car glass cleaner. It makes your car windows look crystal clear with very little effort.
