This is polyester floss. I did the burn test on both the thread on the bobbins and the refill bag. They both melted. So, even though it acts and looks like cotton floss, this would not be what you use if you want to embroider something on clothes that would need to be ironed because it would turn into a melted mess.Other than that, it is a really good kit. It came with 30 needles with chenille eyes to fit the larger floss. The bobbins have full skeins and a wide variety of colors with no repeats. The box alone is $8 empty here on Ebay. So, it is a great deal.
