I've been in the computer business since 1990 and my fingers and wrists have really started to pay the price. In 1993, my right hand started to hurt constantly, so I switched to using a mouse with my left hand. It helped a lot, but in the last few years I started getting pain again. Last year was so bad that I had to ice skate and stretch every night after work, and I started thinking about what other career I could choose once I could no longer use the computer. It was very painful. into ergonomic options and tried a few, including a trackball, which actually made things worse. When I discovered the vertical mouse, I looked for a left-handed option and found this. What a relief to use this mouse! On the first day of use, my pain subsided drastically and within a few days I was even able to work without the wristband for a while. I bought a second one so I can have it for both work and home use. I would give the mouse 5 stars but I have a couple of issues: * You MUST have a mouse pad. after a few days without use the mouse started to "jump" like it was grinding on sandpaper and seen from below the little feet the mouse slides on had deep scratches from normal use which was the reason. It looks like the plastic used in the construction of the mouse is quite soft. This issue was resolved by placing a mouse pad under the mouse* Since the mouse is wireless, the mouse may occasionally (every hour or two) lose connection with the computer. I only experience this when using this mouse at work, so it's possible it's being caused by some sort of 2.4GHz interference as I don't have the issue at home. Turning the mouse off and on again or unplugging the USB and plugging it back in solves the problem* It also seems to be a battery issue that causes the computer to disconnect, e.g. the battery compartment on the bottom of the mouse, the light on the mouse started blinking and connecting. Now when I lose connection I usually flip the mouse over and press the battery cover and almost every time it reconnects. I'm considering removing the battery cover and placing a folded piece of paper between the batteries and the cover as a spacer to see if that permanently fixes the problem. Since the mouse frequently turns off on my work computer, I actually bought another brand of vertical mouse that is wired instead of wireless (Perixx doesn't offer a left-handed wired option) that works 100% flawlessly. Being a vertical mouse, it's larger than a standard mouse, so I've accidentally knocked it over from time to time, but it doesn't really matter much. Just pick it up and I'll be back in business. I will probably get used to the larger mouse over time and not have this problem anymore. SUMMARY: I want to give this mouse 5 stars because it saved my career by allowing me to work on my computer all day WITHOUT PAIN. , but I have to deduct a star because the mouse often switches off on my work computer. If your fingers and wrists hurt from working on your computer, do yourself a favor and get a vertical mouse!
