I've used portable monitors in the past, but they were all separate, standalone setups that were tedious to set up each time. This monitor is designed to attach to the lid of your laptop with magnets and sliders and be supported by the lid of the laptop. The design is interesting and works well. Installing it on my laptop was very easy (it's a non-destructive install so you don't have to worry about messing up your laptop) and I got it up and running in less than 10 minutes. It connects to your system via a USB-C port and there's a mini HDMI port too. I had no problems with my system picking it up. I'm using a Windows and Linux dual boot system, so I can say that it works perfectly with these two operating systems. The brightness of the screen is excellent - fully in line with my laptop. When you pull the screen out, it stays where you put it and doesn't move at all. The screen makes my laptop a little bulky, which is to be expected (you're adding a second screen, after all), and the weight isn't that great, about a pound. some bad experiences with other secondary screens like mine, but this one actually does what it's supposed to: be a second monitor when you want it and out of the way when you don't.
