The air vent in my bedroom blows directly onto the bed no matter how I tried to deflect it. As a result, I covered my face with the side where the draft was blowing. I bought these caps to block drafts and they are quite effective. With a hat pulled down over my head and cheeks, I don't feel drafts and sleep better. It's funny, the dogs know it's time for bed when I put this hat on and go to bed. I have used them outside on cool evenings and they work well as they are warm without being too heavy. I wash them in a lace bag to reduce the risk of unraveling. I have a small head so the hat is big. No shrinkage despite hot water wash and dryer.
