Accurate and stable suction pressure

The pressure gauge is an important part of my home project which is used to measure the suction pressure to improve the existing radon protection system. As a new owner of an existing home, I am upgrading a radon abatement system called active soil pressure relief (ASD), the most common type. The main components of the system consist of an exhaust fan, a corrugated 4-inch PVC pipe collection grate, and a plastic sheeting in the soil below the main level. Without radon control measures, 67 pCl was measured with an activated carbon sampling kit. With the fan running, the radon level was reduced to 19 pC, but was well above the recommended maximum of 4 pC. Upon closer inspection, I found that the main problem with the system was that the plastic sheeting on the walls, lap joints, and 4-inch main suction tube were not sealed. line penetration. Air flow into leaking connections bypasses the collection system and prevents the system from building up suction pressure, which is a must. It was an awkward repair because the walls are covered in R-19 wool insulation that prevents access to the concrete walls for sealing the plastic wrap. The work requires respirators, long shirts and trousers, goggles and gloves. The plastic film is applied to the walls with a brush on sewer sealant and fiberglass tape, providing a tight seal and permanent repairs. The pressure gauge measures the tightness of the system, and the higher the suction pressure, the better. Suction pressure did not improve until the entire system was sealed. Radon levels were reduced to 1.2 pCL, which is an acceptable level. I would give 5 stars if the instructions were better. I was concerned that moisture would get into the open end of the tube and the freezing point of the red liquid was not given.
