Quality workmanship and performance

This is the best external USBC 3.1 NVME SSD enclosure on the market. Don't waste your money and valuable SSD on a cheaper device. I had a PNY 2TB in one of those little $21 USB-C cases that had nothing but a heating pad and case and kept heating up, throttling, sending error messages to windows and closing explorer and not going on until it did had cooled, and then repeated everything. I was able to mount another case off the shelf and put a fan on top and it worked great. The cooling in these devices is insufficient. Then I found these and others with less technology. I ordered this and it's built like a digital gauge tank and looks like a tiny phaser. It is very easy to assemble with just 1 screw and comes with a screwdriver and its own heatsink. Plus 1 each USB-C and USB-A cable. File transfer went as expected through my USB3 hub. From the Samsung T5 it was about 385 MB on NVME and from the driver 240 MB. However, as before, the disk started throttling after about 7 minutes and shutting down Windows with this case only showed a temperature increase of 3 degrees and there were no throttling or problems. I couldn't hear the fan at all. I'm very happy with it, despite the extra cost.
