Works great! I'm very impressed with several aspects that have improved over the previous (non-musical) version. First: the music mode, of course. What is particularly impressive is that it adjusts the sensitivity for loud or soft music very well. All 5 different modes look very nice in operation but I personally prefer mode 1. Very nice actions for sounds! Please watch the video posted to see them as the background lights for the video. Second: I love the new LED strips! A) The IP65 waterproofing looks like a good finish and it looks like it will stand up to the weather conditions as well as the occasional rain. . Of course if this is IP65 tested then by definition it should work well even in a humid environment. B) The adhesive is significantly better than the really thin version on the old tapes and looks (can't be sure) like 3M. Material. Really sticky and thick bottom. I was expecting that in thermal testing the thicker foam backing could be an issue for heating at full brightness. I'm happy to report that the strips didn't get very hot and the adhesive stayed in place. I've included some micrographs of both the latest adhesive foam and the old thin film adhesive. C) Speaking of brightness, these bars are much brighter than the previous ones and the colors are much better saturated than before. The light intensity actually measured was 1165 lumens with every 10 meters of LED strips. (measured with a Sekonic L-858D light meter, converted from 340 FL to 3,426 lumens per foot-lambert). Third, the addition of mounting clips and a patch cord (for strip segmentation) was a very nice touch. The overall quality of this kit is really impressive. Fourth, a dual connector cable from the controller to the strips is included to facilitate "Y" configuration. "U" configurations or with 10mm corner connectors or pigtails you can create any shape you want. You can see the "Y" configuration and all components in the attached photo. The instructions are not included as a printed sheet, but the QR code quickly takes you to a graphic showing all the connections. Modes of operation are not defined (and to be honest I'm not sure if they can be described, I just experienced it). Some functions on the remote control are common. For example, the music mode button on the far right toggles between brightness levels. The color changing buttons offer different reactions depending on whether you are in music mode, car mode or selected mode. No problem, because it all depends on what you find visually appealing. Final Thoughts: This is great value for money and offers what appears to be a very high quality product. I will definitely recommend them to my friends.
