It's been such a valuable tool in keeping track of their weight fluctuations (especially when two of them were diagnosed with chronic kidney disease) and in determining the right amount of prescription flea treatment. .I weigh my kittens before going to the vet to compare the results on a veterinary scale. They always agreed within a small, fractional (expected) variance. This scale is very easy to use and the tare mode comes in handy when weighing kittens that don't stand still for long! They are also very easy to clean. Dampen a paper towel with some isopropyl alcohol. One important point should not be forgotten. The enclosed instructions for use indicate that the batteries must be removed if the scale is to be stored for a long period of time without being used. I forgot this and my scale stopped working. I then did some research and found that using a small amount of iso-alcohol on a cotton swab would remove any corrosion on the battery terminals. I tried it and it worked! and to think i'm ready to throw it away! I'm so glad I didn't.
