I use it with an espresso machine with an E-61 group head. If I've already lost you, move on to the next review. this is not for you I use a scale to check the weight of the espresso (1g = 1ml) as it comes out of the portafilter so I can calibrate my grinder to make 30ml of espresso in 25 seconds. (See attached photo). It's coffee, not diamonds, so I don't care about hundredths of a gram. Gram is all I need. I measure 30-40g of liquid in 260g. mug so the 500g weight capacity is within my operating range. Due to its small size, it fits on top of the drip tray with only the scales panel hanging from the front. This makes it easier to operate the buttons and view the display. Due to the small thickness, I can put the cup on the scale when cleaning the portafilter spout. I like him a lot so far.
