Why does a canvas bag need a combo lock?

I carry GoPros, a couple of charging blocks, and a handful of SDI cards. Works great for that.Having a lock on it serves no purpose and neither does the charging port. Other than that it's a sturdy bag that already looks dirty, so there's no need to fuss over it. It has superfluous buckles and I wouldn't trust the magnet latches if it fell down a hill or out of the jeep.
