. I'm wearing a pair as I write this. I have re-ordered Eyekeppers in various shades (clear, yellow and amber) and magnifications (1.00, 1.25 and 1.50) because they are so much better than any of the more expensive Foster Grant, Gamma Ray, Macrovision or Readers glasses .com. bought in the first batch. Spring loops are only available from Eyekeppers. Readers.com arrived with the screws over tightened, they are so tight that they don't open easily, but I will not loosen them for fear that over time they will loosen and lose the screws. Gamma Rays are fine, but most of them aren't that stylish and the loops are cheap and not spring-loaded. opened them carefully to put them on. They were one of 5-6 pairs I bought 5-6 months ago. I haven't used them that much and mostly prefer others. The tear probably occurred after wearing them less than 10 times, always indoors while reading or of course on the computer. I always took them off when I got up or started watching TV from across the room.
