Review on πŸ”§ Ernst Manufacturing 5089 Gripper Wrench Organizer, 15 Tool, Black - Ultimate SE-Optimized Storage Solution by Ashutosh Takumatla

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Repeat purchase like the material it is made of. Do not hang it by the handle, otherwise the handle may break.

I have bought this organizer before. (only 5 so far) I like that they match and I use black for metric and red for SAE. I love how they come in different configurations for more or fewer buttons in a given set. (not much wasted space if you use it in a smaller set and order a smaller organizer for example). Also, the material it's made of seems perfect for a wrench organizer. This is a softer plastic that bends easily. When you insert or remove a wrench, you really notice. It also holds keys well. I have more fragile and more difficult to handle. For example, you expect a certain key thickness. In my experience they work with thin or thick wrenches. I would not recommend hanging it by a handle in this style. I did just that and after about 6 months the handle broke. (Picture attached) Use the screw holes on the back of the organizer to hang it on the wall. Another style that goes from small to large and has a handle for the small size did not break. (It is a shorter handle and can be hung like this without breaking). Now I keep them in my tool box. To start I bought 2 for my regular size (Craftsman ratchet) SAE and metric wrenches. I later bought 2 again for SAE and GearWrench short metric wrenches and finally I bought this one which is perfect for a very thin set of Stanley metric wrenches that I found on sale at Menards. (The narrow set is designed for use with caliper bolt bolts to avoid using a small vise.)

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank
