The New Balance 577 shoes offer excellent arch support, plenty of toe room and durability. When shoes support the feet properly, the knees and hips are in line with the feet, preventing knee and hip pain from overworked muscles and ligaments. When the pain returns, it's time to buy new shoes. I'm 79 years old with heart problems and two bad knees and these shoes allow me to stay on my feet and walk so I don't need a wheelchair.
