I was sure you needed a pizza stone to get a good crust. I don't believe in that pizza philosophy anymore. I'm here to tell you that I can get the crust just as good with this strainer as I can with my pizza stone. The best thing about the screen is that there is no preheat stone! It cuts down the time in the oven significantly, just preheat the oven, cook the pizza right on the screen on the counter, then toss it all on the rack and take it all out when it's done. No skin is needed either! Just put something like a baking sheet under the strainer to catch the drips if your crust gets a little holy at some point. My oven doesn't fit a 20 inch screen so I just bent one edge of the screen to fit the oven. I only need to make a slightly oblong pizza, but I can make pizza much larger on this 20-inch screen than I could ever make on my 15-inch pizza stone and no toppings flew while popping pizza off the pan on the fly flicked the stone
