Review on 📀 HP 2051 Imation DVD+R 16X LightScribe 4.70 GB, 25 Pack Spindle: High-Quality Recordable DVDs with LightScribe Technology in Economical Bulk Packaging by Michael Skerving

After realizing I had too many DVDs that were either unlabeled or had fuzzy scribbles, I decided it was time to buy a backlit DVD drive to buy. After that, I quickly explored the various backlit DVDs available. After some reading, particularly Revain reviews, I realized that a bounce rate of around 5% across the board is to be expected. So my next step was to find the cheapest DVDs in this range and I came across HP drives. First of all I would like to point out that they are silver colored. Maybe I'm the only one, but I find that colored discs affect the readability of the label you put on, or at least that's what I noticed when looking at friends' discs. Personally, I prefer silver discs for light pressure, but until now they've been hard to come by, especially in smaller quantities. I was happy to see that they weren't too golden. It's true, I had a disc that refused to be read by my DVD drive, resulting in an error in both Windows and OSX. I was expecting this, however, so there are no markings - I only used it as a test disk. The labels I applied came out really nice. My OSX program allows me to choose how dark I want the label to be by automatically making multiple passes at print time. In my free Windows 7 software, I only have to run it a few times. It takes a heck of a lot longer than using a marker, but the result is worth it! Of course you pay more as they are good for light marking but in my opinion they are worth it. Having had no major issues and happy with the quality, I have no hesitation in recommending these DVDs as a 5 star product!
