I am a sewing and sewing business so a good iron is a must. My iron, which I used and liked for several years, finally died. I went to the local quilt store to get a new iron. The one I wanted was in reserve. I then contacted Amazon looking for fast shipping, 4 stars, not too expensive (as I was going to get another one later). The Vremi 1800 watt iron had great reviews so I ordered it. After 2 days of using the iron I can honestly say it was definitely a good choice. Good weight, dry iron seams that are flat for sewing are very good and the iron has a good strong boost of steam when needed. You may need to reconsider buying a different iron. Will buy this iron again just to be safe
