Once you've taken your oven out to clean the sides it's nice not to have to do it again, at least not very often, and to make things a little easier if you do. These silicone plugs prevent dirty liquids from running down the sides of the oven and adjacent cabinets. They are very easy to clean, just wipe them with a tea towel. Because they are silicone, they withstand a lot of heat. Assembly? Just line them up with the gap between the stove and counter. The only improvement I would make is that the seller needs to find a way to ship them without bending them in half. Eventually they even out, but it takes a few days.
