Excellent portable amateur radio and commercial radio.
Not so easy to program. I got the programming cable and used the Chirp software and the radio was programmed in no time. You need the right cable, so read the specs before you buy. I bought a 7.4 volt 3800 mAh battery for continuous use. Model BL-5L. The antenna is not bad but not as good as the high gain HT antenna. If you have an antenna with a BNC connector, you need a SMA socket and a BNC connector.
