Review on Pentek C1 20 Carbon Impregnated Cellulose Cartridge: Enhanced Filtration for Cleaner Water by Joi Thomas

This cartridge fits Pentek 150314 #5 Slim Line Blue Sump. I used cartridges for many years after installing a filtered water supply in the kitchen sink where there was a cutout for a soap dispenser. I've used at least 15 of these filters and have found that they can last for many months depending on how much filtered water is used. We have good water, but the boss prefers tasteless water. The recent purchase never lost its strange taste, so the guests of the house and family did not drink water. They resorted to mineral water for an additional charge. The filter was installed exactly as stated in the instructions that came with it, including sanitizing the filter housing, running water through the filter, etc. This may have been an anomaly, but enough of a concern that I was hesitant to purchase this source to use a filter.
