I had the older model of this iron for 4 years. I decided I needed an upgrade so I went with a more expensive, highly rated salon brand. It was awful, the other brand pulled and tugged at my hair, was heavy, had no idea what temp it was ever as it was just a dial. It took several passes and the plates were very short. I immediately regretted the change and bought a newer version of my old Remington. I'm so happy! I'm telling you, longer blades on straighteners are a game changer! You can cover a lot more hair per section, it only takes me 5 minutes to straighten the whole head. This straightener is super light, has digital temp so I know I'm not overcooking my hair, it's nice and thin, super silky so my hair never pulls or sticks together, and it's cheaper than most! Don't be put off by the price, it's amazing! After this experience, I will be a die-hard Remington fan forever!
