Makes hair static

for a day so that's kind of a first impression. First off, it says it has a 15 second warm up time, which I think means that 15 seconds after you turn it on it will beep and reach your desired temperature. I set it to 380 degrees and it took 5 minutes to warm up. And that's after he's closed. I tried again a few hours later by unplugging and letting it cool and the same thing happened. I had to test it and turn it on a second time, then wait about 5 minutes for it to beep/reach 380 degrees…

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • I've only had the old

Overall good but some issues

I bought this straightener to replace my previous styling product. The old one was a combo straightener and styling brush, so this was my first "real" straightener. When ordering I wanted something black and I wanted the plates to be both ceramic and floating. This iron looks exactly like the photo, although the white parts stand out more. It's smaller than I expected at 10.5 inches end-to-end (add another 1.25 inches for cord extension), but the panels themselves are only 4 inches long, so…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Sad packaging

This is one of the best, longer plates are a game changer!

I had the older model of this iron for 4 years. I decided I needed an upgrade so I went with a more expensive, highly rated salon brand. It was awful, the other brand pulled and tugged at my hair, was heavy, had no idea what temp it was ever as it was just a dial. It took several passes and the plates were very short. I immediately regretted the change and bought a newer version of my old Remington. I'm so happy! I'm telling you, longer blades on straighteners are a game changer! You can cover…

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for elderly

Four Stars: Iron

Hair: Asian hair, bleached 3 times, dyed. I really like this hair straightener, it's easy to use and I really like the design of the product. The wire is a swivel so spinning the iron was easy. I never burned myself, the plastic protection was enough. Yes, it is ceramic, so you still have to take care of this instrument. It's like taking care of a ceramic pot, you don't want to hit it or put other things on it. Using the settings is easy enough, it will beep when it reaches the temperature you…

Pros
  • Excellent Overall
Cons
  • Not Bad
