This device is working as expected. Yes, it makes a little noise when you pour water into the fridge. But it only works for a short time when you spill water or when the ice maker asks for water. The pump will turn on in a few seconds. I don't see anything special in it. Now for the quality. never mind The plastic case itself, hoses, power cords. All of the components that appear on the outside are actually solid and feel very robust. The pump is actually heavier and larger than I thought it would be. But I heard something rattling there, so I opened it. There are definitely problems assembling the components inside. The yellow ground wire from the power cord was attached to one of the components with a small nut and bolt. No union nut or lock washer. Just a thin little nut and bolt. Due to the vibrations that this pump causes during operation, the small screw and nut could not get caught. Also, the power button and a few other components are only held in place with a small amount of hot glue. It will not take long. So I'll probably solder that wire or attach it with a little screw or something. And maybe replace the hotspots with something better. Or maybe just more hot glue to reinforce it. All in all, the components themselves seem pretty good, but I can understand why the reviewers say these things suddenly stopped working. Most likely, over time, they simply disintegrate inside. Too bad they skimped on assembly in a few very small areas.
