I installed this on my 2013 GMC Sierra Extended Cab. Installation was very easy and only took about 10 minutes. The hardest part is removing the plastic cover that is underneath the console cover. All you need for the installation is a torx (T20) screwdriver for the 4 screws, something to pry off the cover and a Phillips screwdriver for the 2 screws holding the latch. This part saved me a fortune because the dealer will only sell you the console cover for $140-$160. I don't know how long it will last but I know it's worth the price.
