Review on Super Chunky Merino Roving Knitting Yarn by Kelsey Brown

I have never used thick yarn and have never hand knitted. I'm a terrible knitter in general and have never knitted anything other than scarves. I thought my experience might help those who are new to chunky blanket and hands knitting. Firstly, I couldn't work with this yarn without felting. When I tried I just ripped it apart and it spilled all over me. When I felt it, it became a lot easier for me. Felting was easy and there are many videos on YouTube on how to do it. I have to say I bought a huge skein of this (rather than several smaller skeins) which made everything bulkier. Knowing what I know now, I would start with smaller strands and feel right away. Also, it's a beautiful wool yarn, soft, and I quickly made a nice (and very heavy) lap blanket/thread.
