I have sensitive front teeth, so I use a straw for cold drinks (sometimes hot drinks!). Using disposable plastic straws isn't cool anymore. I hate paper, I have silicone but they are bulky and I always clean them (waste of water). These compostable straws are ALSO like plastic straws - thin, sturdy, and not too big, but without the guilt of single-use plastic. They're made from plant matter, so you can toss them straight into your garden, compost heap, or flower bed. win win! I rinse mine and use them a few days before composting. They are fairly durable and ideal for reuse.
