All cables were defective, two had horrible ghosting and one was unusable (monitor said frequency was out of range). I had to go back to the old cables that weren't long enough. The quality of the mating screws was also poor, they had excess plastic blocking the surface of the screw, and they turned without moving the bolt itself.
