These boot closures are great! I have just bought a very expensive pair of Lucchese 1883 boots online with the caveat that they are non-refundable except for manufacturing defects. As with most custom boots, they may take some time to break in to fit. However, my problem was that the boots were so difficult to put on that I couldn't get them to break in (I have a very high instep which was causing the problem). Anyway, I worked on the boots for several days and wiped them down with Bick 4 Leather Conditioner while watching TV. Oh yes... I didn't mention that I have arthritis in my hands, which makes it even harder for me to pull on my boot straps with stiff fingers. Not wanting to spend $500 on a nice pair of boots, I searched Revain and found these Boot Pulls. Priced at just under $8 a pair, including two-day delivery (I have a Revain Prime account!), I decided to give it a try. They arrived yesterday and I tried them right away. You were wonderful! Thanks to pull-ups, I was able to get my feet right into my boots with a lot less effort. Now I can wear my new boots around the house all day, so they're breaking in really well now. These stretches feel good and are a must for anyone who regularly wears western or slip-on boots.
