I really wanted to trust the good reviews on this. I'm very picky about mouse pads, I use a very expensive gaming mouse pad at home. I wanted something with a similar feel but on a much smaller/cheaper scale for work as I have a small table and obviously don't play at work. The edges did not lay flat right out of the box. My mouse is heavy so I was hoping that when moving across the mat it would help move the raised edges down. Unfortunately, while it helped, he couldn't flatten it enough to properly track the edges of the court. I also discovered very quickly that the "sliding" panels on the bottom of my mouse (which help it glide smoothly) marked the mat, and now that it's a little "dirty" from those markings, it doesn't track right in the middle. I'm happy to give one star because the palm rest is actually quite comfortable. Between work and home, I sit at the computer about 12-14 hours a day and have no wrist pain. Maybe cut off the palm rest and use it with a mouse pad that doesn't suck!
